W0HCA attended West Plains' Old Time Music Festival yesterday. From 8am to 5:30 pm, the club handed out literature, talked to people about the club's activities, and enjoyed the nice summer day. A few rain drops didn't spoil the fun and even cooled the air a bit.
Adhering to the club's mission to promote the hobby of amateur radio, several people with licenses stopped by to chat with the club and were happy to find one in the area. In the afternoon, we had a front row seat to the practice for the mule jumping, a highlight of the event. Good food from vendors including a favorite barbecue trailer was had by all.
